Happy New Year!

This week is the start of a new phase on our home... we brought in a new crew and we're really getting some significant work done! Yippee. Greg Spangler, Emory and Syndy have been getting dirty in the house working alongside our Amish neighbors, the electricians, and the roofers. Rooster is due back any day to finish up the plumbing but in the meantime, the interior is finally starting to shape up and noticible progress is being made. Here are a couple photo's from the last 2 days.

The laundry room and powder room now have tile, grout, and sealer. Next step is edging and caulk then install the sink, toilet, washer and dryer.
The fireplace is permanently set and is awaiting the stonework.Greg is busy at work unpacking tools and tile. Notice the trim on the doors and windows in our bedroom? Emory had a good time climbing on the beams installing the metal brackets. We finally kicked down that annoying 2x4 that was standing in the middle of our great room!
Greg is busy at work sealing the walls and ceiling in our master bathroom so that we can begin the tile work. Mervin and his son Jared finished up all the trim work on the windows, doors and ceiling.Emory is not having so much fun putting in the mortar shower pan. Seems no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't get it to slope... he's just a level kind of guy!
Laying the tile in the bathroom floor. Syndy got to use the tile cutter (yes Greg, a woman with a power tool) while Emory measured and placed the tile. The tile is now down and drying so we can grout the floor. Next is the tub and shower tile.Stay tuned, more pictures tomorrow!
