Mid Week Report...

Greg... laying down on the job, again.Working outside and enjoying the 65 degree weather with sunshine.
Oops... had to remove some tile so the plumber could do a swap on the shower valve. No problem!
What's this? Rooster laying down on the job too!
The cabinet in Syndy's craft room. Mevin and Jarod Yoder worked late Tuesday night to get it assembled. Next they'll install the drawers.
Kitchenette and cleanup area in the craft room.
Greg, Jake and Rooster are spending lots of time getting the kitchen all hooked up.

Cutting a hole in the log wall with a chainsaw to vent the range hood thru.

Also had to cut a hole in the porch roof for the exhaust fan.
It fits!

Kitchen Appliances

Today was a huge day... literally! The kitchen appliances all arrived and are now sitting in place. They aren't all hooked up yet but the are on site finally. Tomorrow the measurements begin for the countertops...PS.. the appliances are all stainless, not blue. The blue and/or white is a plastic overwrap to protect the stainless.

The Roof is DONE!

I know it's hard to believe but it's true! The Jeffco gang really stepped up to the plate to finish our roof, snow guards, and gutters! Despite cold, windy and even wet weather, Jerry and his crew did an amazing job. Thanks guys!

Congratulations Greg!

Couldn't pass up the chance to show Greg in his beautiful 'pink' tie and vest. He is sporting this getup on behalf of his son Greg who was married today in metro Detroit. You sure clean up nice Greg... far cry from the construction-wear we see you in every day :)

Our kitchen cabinets are completely in!

And... we also have a Master Bathroom vanity as well. It's a beautiful natural hickory to match all the hardwood floors throughout the house.

Lots to check out

Jordan, Dave, Herb and Steve (all electricians) spent the past couple days putting in electrical fixtures. Ceiling fans, track lighting and the counter fixtures in the craft room.
Mervin and Jarod are working on making doors for the closets in the upstairs bathroom. The loft is now complete. Hardwood, railings, and electrical fixtures. Wow.
Greg covers up the completed loft hardwood.
I know you're wondering, "what are those slanted shelves in the bedroom closets?" Well, those are 'shoe shelves' - of course!
Sunshine's room is nearly complete. Next will be the carpeting, vent and electrical covers.
Wilmer, our nearest neighbor, worked Monday thru Wednesday getting the upstairs railings in place as well as stairs, trim work and the remainder of the character logs.
